‘For she had fulfilled his prophesy
Spreading love, honor, and hope
She instilled in those she left behind
The ability to understand and cope.’
Joanne Bailey Baxter: “Mother On Mother’s Day”

The journey of motherhood is a personal one, and creative expression can help us process the beautiful, joyful and challenging stages of being a mum.

Creating through Motherhood provides a space for mothers at any stage in their journey to learn from their peers, talk about their experiences and work on an anthology of words and poems inspired by their experience of motherhood.

Led by a poet, writer and mother to a toddler, these weekly sessions will provide you with ideas  and new skills on how to express yourself through writing.

Take some time in your week to focus on your creative side and feel the benefits of putting pen to paper with a creative support network. No experience necessary.

Participant feedback

“I wanted to do something different and exciting. I wanted to meet new people, not necessarily to make friends but just people outside of my usual routine. The benefits were meeting a group of interesting people who all wanted to be creative. I would recommend the sessions to others, they were good value and in a really nice location.”
