Aged 9-13? Ever wanted to perform on the Theatre Royal stage? Here’s your opportunity!

We are excited to be getting plans together for our forthcoming production of Dick Whittington and His Cat this Christmas. We are currently looking for young actors to play the roles of Rose and Robin, Alice Fitzwarren’s little brother and sister.

This year our auditions for young actors will take place through an online platform. All applications submitted through this site will be viewed and considered by the production team. We will then be inviting those who are successful in getting to the next stage to audition in person at Norwich Theatre on Sunday 12th September.

Due to the number of performances, we will be casting four children for each role, with the number of performances being split between actors (each child will perform around 11 or 12 shows over the run).

All children must be between 9 and 13 years of age. Applicants must be available for all rehearsals during the period of 24 November to 10 December, and performances from 11 December to 9 January (this will involve time during school hours, as well as evenings and weekends).

No previous acting experience necessary, just plenty of enthusiasm! Children will be cared for by Licenced Chaperones at all times. Parents/Carers will not be required to stay with the child for rehearsals or performances.

Deadline for applications is Mon 6 Sep, 10pm.
